Padam Prasad Pandey recommended as new Secretary-General of Federal Parliament Secretariat

KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament has recommended Padam Prasad Pandey as the new Secretary-General, succeeding Dr. Bharat Gautam who resigned earlier.

The recommendation was made by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timalsina, and has been put forward to President Ram Chandra Paudel.

Padam Prasad Pandey, currently serving as the Secretary of the Federal Parliament, is set to assume the role of Secretary General with eight months remaining in his tenure.

The recommendation follows the resignation of Dr. Gautam, who resigned before President Paudel on Monday.

Before his role as Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Pandey held the position of Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General.
