Two more ex-employees arrested in Lalita Niwas Land Grab case



KATHMANDU: Two more ex-employees involved in embezzlement of government land of Lalita Niwas in Baluwatar have been arrested.

Two ex-employees of the Land Revenue Office Dillibazar were arrested by the police on Tuesday morning.

According to the Central Investigation Bureau sources, Non-Gazetted Officer of Land Revenue Office Yograj Paudel and another official Narayanraj Mishra were arrested on the charge of creating a fake file to claim government land and submitting it to the Chief of Land Revenue Office Kaladhar Deuja.

Mishra and Paudel deliberately misinterpreted the prevalent provisions and submitted them to Deuja. Deuja is found to have taken land as a bribe from the Ranas.

Their involvement was seen in the frauds which took place after 2049 BS.

They have been arrested for the crime of disobeying and misinterpreting the decision made by the Council of Ministers.

The officials transferred Nepali Congress leader Subarna Shumsher Rana’s land to various people including  his (Rana’s successors) based on the same fake and fraud documents.
