One succumbs to Coronavirus in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A 78-year-old person succumbed to Coronavirus in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

He died while undergoing treatment at the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

He was admitted to the hospital about three weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Coronavirus infection was confirmed in 106 people on Tuesday.

With this, the number of active Coronavirus infected has reached 469 as of Tuesday afternoon.

In Kathmandu Valley, 24 people are currently in institutional isolation and 13 people in ICU.

Five people are being treated on ventilators.
