WFD reports partial influence of westerly winds



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division (WFD) has reported a partial influence of westerly winds across the country, leading to varied weather conditions.

According to the Division, hilly areas are likely to witness partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will have generally clear weather.

Some parts of Terai may witness foggy conditions, the Division said.

In the afternoon, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are forecasted to have clear skies in the hilly areas, with the remaining parts enjoying overall clear conditions.

The Division has also forecasted light snowfall in select locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, clear weather is expected in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, while the rest of the country will also experience generally clear conditions.

With a gradual drop in temperatures, the Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions to mitigate potential effects.
