RSP asks PM Dahal to raise map discrepancy with China with vigor

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has presented a series of seven written suggestions to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

Ahead of his upcoming visits to the United States and China, PM Dahal sought counsel from former prime ministers, former foreign ministers, and leaders of parliamentary parties on Sunday.

During a discussion held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singha Darbar, RSP leaders submitted a seven-point written proposal to PM Dahal.

RSP leader DP Aryal stated, “We emphasize the importance of ensuring that the public is informed about the map issue at a level where they can fully comprehend it.”

Despite Nepal’s publication of a new map that includes Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura, the recent map released by China continues to display Nepal’s previous borders.

The parties have recommended to Prime Minister Prachanda that he prioritize this matter as an agenda item during his upcoming visit to China.
