Morang students get AI training



BIRATNAGAR: Teaching in Artificial Intelligence, robotics and coding has been started for school students in the district. It is believed to be the first of its kind in Koshi province.

The Xavier’s English School in Budhiganga-2 Tankisinwari of Morang has started the training from Friday with the help of teachers from Distance Education Kathmandu. The Vice Principal of the school, Janak Dhakal, shared that AI-related teaching and learning has been started to produce skilled human resource for the country, considering the high demand for information technology professionals in the contemporary world.

The AI, robotics and coding will be taught to 500 students from Grade 3 to 10 of the school. Purbanchal University Assistant Dean Manoj Shah, distance education representative Krishna Bhandari and school principal Paresh Pokharel jointly inaugurated the event.

On the occasion, various speakers expressed their belief that the training would contribute to the production of skilled human resources in information technology needed by the country.

The school has arranged for free training for the students. For the next one year, distance education will conduct training in 48 categories of information technology.
