Nepal sees 57 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, active cases 147



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 57 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Out of the confirmed cases 41 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 16 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,931 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the tested  cases 716 were tested through RT-PCR method and 1,215 were tested through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 147 active cases in the country as 27 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country has been 12,031 to date.
