Ruling parties finalize power sharing in Provinces

KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition has finalized power-sharing with CPN-UML getting Chief Ministers in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Likewise, the Maoist Center and UML will form the government in Bagmati and Sudurpaschim Provinces. While the Maoists will lead the government in Bagmati and Sudurpaschim for two-and-a-half-year, the UML will form the government for another term.

Meanwhile, the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and Janamat Party will form the government in Madhes province and Maoist will form the government in Karnali.

Hikmat Karki of CPN-UML has already been appointed as the Chief Minister in Province 1 today.
