Ainapahara becoming attraction for domestic tourists



DAMAULI: Ainapahara waterfall located at Abukhaireni rural municipality-2 in Tanahu district has been attracting domestic tourists day by day.

Earlier, it was not well-managed but its appearance of the place is now being changed.

The people’s representatives are now effortful to develop Ainapahara as a tourism destination.

A goal has been set to develop the Ainapahara waterfall as a resting place for tourists.

Artistic statues and structures are being carved out on the natural rocks and stones found in Ainapahara.

Abukhaireni rural municipality has started carving out the structures of mother and son on the rock and stone in order to develop Ainapahara as the tourism hub.

It has increased the inflow of tourists at the place.

A local Bijay Gurung said Ainapahara would be developed as a tourism destination as it is located near Prithvi Highway.

Chairperson of Abukhaireni rural municipality, Shukra Chuman, mentioned that Ainapahara started welcoming more tourists day by day after people started uploading photos and videos of the place in the social site.

A total of Rs 14 million was allocated in the last fiscal year for the construction of Ainapahara Park, he added.

Chuman viewed, “We have made a plan to develop Ainapahara as the one of the best tourism sites of Gandaki Province, not only of Tanahu. Activities to make the Ainapahara more attractive are currently underway.”

The rural municipality has forwarded a plan to construct sky-cycling and glass walk bridge at the place.

It has already prepared a detailed master plan to make Ainapahara waterfall systematic.
