Federal Parliament budget session begins today

KATHMANDU: The budget session of both Houses of the Federal Parliament begins today.

President Ram Chandra Paudel called the session of the Federal Parliament in accordance with Article 93, Clause (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.

The Secretariat of the Federal Parliament has already urged all Members of Parliament (MPs) to attend the session called for today at 4 pm at the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.

The government’s policies and programs and budget will be presented in this session.

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is expected to table a proposal in today’s meeting that the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the Fiscal Year 2080/81 BS (except the tax proposal) be discussed.
