Maoist Center lawmaker Aryal elected National Assembly Vice-Chair unopposed



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center lawmaker Urmila Aryal has been elected as the Vice-Chairperson of the National Assembly.

Speaker of the Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina informed the Assembly that Aryal was elected unopposed as there was only one candidate for the post of Vice Chairperson.

Prior to that, CPN-UML lawmaker Devendra Dahal, proposed Aryal’s name for the post of Vice-Chair claiming she was worth it.

His proposal was supported by lawmaker Khimlal Devkota.
