Nepal playing against Malaysia for the title today



KATHMANDU: Nepal is playing against Malaysia for the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup Cricket title today.

Nepal made a place in the final defeating Singapore by 97 runs at the Bayuemas Oval cricket ground played on Monday.

Similarly, Malaysia reached the final defeating Hong Kong in the semi-final.

In Monday’s match, chasing a target of 185 runs for victory, Singapore was bowled out for 87 runs in 31.3 overs. Kattik Kamat of Nepal took 3 wickets.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 184 runs losing 9 wickets in the scheduled 35 overs.

Openers Suryanshu Koirala and Niraj Kumar Yadav shared 63 runs for the first wicket for Nepal.

Koirala scored 43 runs while Niraj Kumar Yadav was dismissed for 42 runs as the fourth wicket. Captain Abhishek Tiwari was dismissed for 25 runs.
