Newly-appointed ministers to be sworn in today



KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed ministers are taking the oath of office and secrecy today.

Nepali Congress (NC) leaders — Dhanraj Gurung, Mohan Bahadur Basnet and Dig Bahadur Limbu, who were appointed ministers on Wednesday, are scheduled to take oath today afternoon.

President Ram Chandra Paudel will administer the oath of office and secrecy to them at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas at 3 pm.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ inducted three ministers – Gurung, Basnet and Limbu – into the cabinet on Wednesday.

Dhanraj Gurung has been appointed as the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Mohan Basnet as the Minister of Health and Population; and Dig Bahadur Limbu as the Minister of Youth and Sports.
