Nepal sees 80 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, active cases 279

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded 80 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 64 were tested through the RT-PCR method and  16 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,117 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of them, 466 swabs were tested through the RT-PCR method and 651 through the Antigen method.

There are 279 active cases in Nepal as 12 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,020 to date.
