Unidentified assailants kill young man in New Road

KATHMANDU: An unidentified group of assailants have attacked brutally to a young man leading to his death in New Road, Kathmandu on Monday evening.

The victim, a young man who had come to New Road to witness the Indrajatra festival, fell victim to this vicious assault, succumbing to his injuries while en route to the hospital.

The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Sunny Karki, originally hailing from Likhu-4, Okhaldhunga, but currently residing in the area. Karki was viciously assaulted with a sharp weapon, leading to this tragic turn of events.

According to SP Kumedh Dhungel, Karki was rushed from the Trauma Center to Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center, but tragically, he passed away at 11:58 during transit.

Local law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into this heinous incident, seeking to bring those responsible to justice.
