KATHMANDU: In the quarter-final match played at the 19th Asian Games in China’s Hangzhou, India has set a challenging target of 203 runs for Nepal.
After winning the toss, India initiated their batting innings and managed to score 202 runs, losing only four wickets during their allotted 20 overs.
Choosing to bat after winning the toss, India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved a century as the formidable cricket team amassed a total of 202 runs on the scoreboard while losing four wickets within the allotted 20 overs.
Opener Jaiswal achieved this milestone in 49 balls, smashing eight boundaries and sending the ball sailing over the ropes seven times.
His innings came to an end when Abinash Bohara caught him off Dipendra Singh Airee’s delivery in the 16.2nd over.
Likewise, Rinku Singh contributed 37 runs, while Shivam Dube scored 25 runs from 19 deliveries.
On the bowling front for Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee claimed two wickets, with Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane also taking one wicket each.
