Govt recommends President to call parliament session on May 7



KATHMANDU: Government has decided to recommend the President to call the next session of the Federal Parliament on coming May 7.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers today took the decision to this effect, said the PM’s Secretariat.

The meeting also decided to reward Rs 600,000 to each player and head coach of the National cricket team that won the title of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup in the match held on last Tuesday.

The other team officials will be provided with Rs 300,000 as a motivation to the players, said Surya Kiran Sharma, press coordinator to the Prime Minister.

Among the host of decisions taken in today’s meeting includes the allocation of budget in the upcoming fiscal year to upgrade the current cricket stadium in Kirtipur to international level cricket stadium.

Similarly, a Commission will be formed to resolve the displacement of people while establishing the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.

Three months have been extended for reformation of the Commission and for the resolution of the problem.

Likewise, the Cabinet meeting decided to amend the Advertisement Regulation-2077 BS by completing necessary process regarding one-door and proportional advertisement in the Act to Regulate the Advertisement-2076 BS.
