Police issues arrest warrant against UML Secretary Rayamajhi, son on Bhutanese refugee fraud case



KATHMANDU: An arrest warrant has been issued against CPN-UML Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and his son Sandeep on the charge of defrauding Nepali citizens by making them fake Bhutanese refugees and sending them to America.

Meanwhile, former Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey has also been arrested in the same case.

Earlier, police arrested 7 people, including Pandey; Indrajit Rai, Security Advisor of the then Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, among others.

Police have also issued an arrest warrant against Indrajit’s son Niraj Rai and Badal’s son Prateek Thapa.

Earlier, the police arrested Sanu Bhandari of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality, Keshav Prasad Dulal of Pathari Sanischare Municipality of Morang, Tanka Kumar Gurung of Phidim Municipality of Panchthar, Sandesh Sharma of Pathari.
