CCTV cameras installed in border areas in Baitadi



BAITADI: CCTV cameras have been installed in Nepal-India border areas in Baitadi district.

A total of 18 CCTV cameras have been fitted in the bordering areas including Jhulaghat, Gadhi, Gothalapani, Sahilek, and Dehimandau, said Raj Bahadur Bista, information officer at Dasharathchanda Municipality.

The project was funded by the municipality and coordinated by the district police office. The project that aims to additionally strengthen security in the border and the areas where there is dense mobility of people and stop social anomalies would be expanded to other areas in the next year, said the municipality mayor Pushkar Raj Joshi.

This will also help reduce criminal activities, said Inspector Lokraj Joshi.
