Nepali Army Ex-servicemen’s Gathering-2079 kicks off in Bardibas



BARDIBAS: The Nepali Army, ‘Ex-Servicemen Gathering-2079’ has begun targeting the ex-servicemen residing at eight districts under Mid-Eastern Division Headquarters of the Nepali Army.

The Gathering was organized with the management of the Nepali Army and coordination of Nepali Army Welfare Board.

Chief of Army Staff, Prabhu Ram Sharma, inaugurated the gathering organized at NA’s Mid-Eastern Division, Bardibas Army Camp, Mahottari, amidst a special function today.

Some 2,000 ex-army permanently residing at Mahottari, Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Siraha, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat and Saptari are participating in the gathering, said Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Krishna Prasad Bhandari.

The NA Welfare Board was established on October 7, 2023 with an objective of coordinating the welfare activities of ex-servicemen.

With the establishment of the NA Welfare Board, the NA has been continuously organizing ex-servicemen gathering at different areas of the country.

According to the Nepali Army Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the total number of pension beneficiaries now stands at 97,515.

On the occasion, different programs including march-past, group dance in national song, army band, would be performed as well as wheel chair and crutch would also be distributed.
