Free medicines for chronic patients in Sunkoshi



SUNKOSHI: The Sunkosi rural municipality in Sindhupalchowk has started distributing free medicines to people suffering from long-term illness and requiring regular medication.

Accordingly, the people suffering from diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and mental health complications are being provided medicines for free.

The rural municipality has officially started the initiative from Sunkhani in ward no. 5 of the rural municipality.

Along with free distribution of medicines, the rural municipality also organized a one-day comprehensive medical health camp with the technical support of HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu.

Meanwhile, the rural municipality issued a public notice urging all the chronic patients in the rural municipality to apply for free medicines in their respective ward.

Rural municipality Chair Tapindra Prasad Timilsina said that the municipality will be providing free medicines to more than 400 people starting this year.
