Cricket: Sandeep Lamichhane included in national team

KATHMANDU: Former captain of national team, Sandeep Lamichhane, who was suspended for three and a half months after being accused of rape, has been included in the national cricket team.

The board meeting of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) decided to lift Sandeep’s suspension.

The right to Lamichhane’s return to the national team was given to the player selection committee.

CAN has asked Lamichhane to participate in the closed camp from Thursday evening.

Nepal is playing a triangular series with Namibia and Scotland under the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two. This series will start on February 14, 2023.
