Three die in jeep mishap in Nuwakot



BIDUR: The death toll from Nuwakot road accident which took place at Dupcheshwor-4, Betini, Nuwakot on Friday has reached three.

According to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of Nuwakot District Police Office, two persons died on the spot and one died while undergoing treatment in Kathmandu last night.

Ten others injured in the accident are receiving treatment in Kathmandu. Three of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

DSP Khadka informed that Tshiring Tamang, 25, and Man Maya Tamang, 16, of Dupcheswor-4 had the spot death and Sanu Kanchhi Tamang, 45, passed away last night in Trauma Centre, Kathmandu.

It seems that the jeep going to Kathmandu from Betini plunged as the vehicle lost its control in the steep road, the investigation is underway, Khadka added .
