Physical development inevitable in rural area: Minister Gurung



KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Urban Development Sita Gurung has expressed her commitment to make the ministry works and performance result-oriented.

In course of taking charge of the office at the ministry in Singha Durbar today, she said all mechanisms should be active to ensure effective and efficient performance of the ministry and its subordinate agencies.

Minister Gurung expressed her confidence that she would work in tandem with bureaucracy to yield results in the ministry works.

“There is a need of expanding physical infrastructural development up to the rural area. All should be proactive to work in team in a way to give results”, the newly appointed minister added.

Minister Gurung is the central member of the Nepali Congress. She had won the parliamentary election from Terhathum constituency 1.

She had already served the country as the minister of state.
