Birgunj Metropolis ensures high vigilance at border to prevent coronavirus transmission

BIRGUNJ: After the latest outbreak of coronavirus cases in India, high vigilance has been started at Birgunj border to prevent transmission in Nepal.

The health desk at the border has provisioned mandatory screening for the passengers entering Birgunj from India citing the increasing instances of coronavirus sub-variant in India.

According to Lakshmi Prasad Paudel, the Chief Administrative Office of Birgunj Metropolitan City, Mayor Rajeshman Singh instructed the health workers to ensure that there is no shortage of necessary health equipment, masks, sanitizers etc. at the health desk.

Paudel informed that the health desk at the entrance has been monitored to make the necessary internal preparations for the metropolis to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection.
