NEPSE declines by 3.51 points Wednesday, transaction amount shrinks



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures the securities secondary market, decreased by 3.51 points on Wednesday. Compared to Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 0.18 percent and stopped at 1949.85 points.

In recent days, the transaction amount has also decreased. Compared to Tuesday, the transaction amount has decreased by 114.3 million rupees. The shares worth 1.49 billion rupees were traded on Monday. Similarly, shares worth 957 million rupees were traded on Tuesday.

Out of the 13 groups that came into business today, the index of business and microfinance group increased, while the index of all other groups decreased. The index of business group increased by 0.88 percent while the index of microfinance group increased by 1.01 percent.

The share price of Green Life Hydropower Limited and Khaptad Microfinance Limited increased by more than 4 percent.
