Nepal sees 438 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 438 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 292 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 146 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,699 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,779 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,920 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,369 active cases in the country as 277 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbs to 11,966.
