Malaysia wins the toss and elects to bat against Nepal



KATHMANDU: Malaysia has won the toss and elected to bat first against Nepal in the third match of the Tri-nation T20I series underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

In the last five games against Malaysia, Nepal has won 4 and lost 1.

In 2020, Nepal lost to Malaysia by 22 runs in ACC Eastern Region T20 Cricket. Since then, Nepal has defeated Malaysia in both the matches of the tri-nation series involving Nepal, the Netherlands, and Malaysia in 2021.

In the first match of the ongoing series, Nepal beat Papua New Guinea by 15 runs. Malaysia also got off to a happy start with an 8-run victory over Papua New Guinea.

From the Nepali team, Dilip Nath is making his debut in T20 International from today’s game.
