India “excited” to work with Nepal’s new govt: MEA



KATHMANDU: India said it is “excited” about working with the new government in Nepal, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on Thursday.

“Our Prime Minister congratulated Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Nepalese PM also responded and said he wants friendly relations,” Bagchi said in New Delhi today.

Bagchi said, “He talked about natural affinity. Both our countries have unique bilateral relations. We hope to work together with the new government of Nepal. We are excited to work with the new government.”

In a regular press conference held at the Ministry of External Affairs in India on Thursday, Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said the Indian government was looking forward to working together with the new government in Nepal and further strengthening the bilateral relations.

“We expect to promote incomparable bilateral and cultural relations between the two countries. We do not let anything decline to promote bilateral relations.” Bagchi also reminded that India had already shown readiness to work together with the new government in Nepal.
