Nepal sees 226 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 226 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Of the confirmed cases, 145 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 81 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,011 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,525 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,486 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 3,235 active cases in the country as 223 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,000 to date.
