Parliamentary committee presents its annual report in HoR



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR), Committee on Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibility of the State presented its annual report in the HoR.

Committee President Niradevi Jairu tabled the Annual Report of the Committee, 2076 and the Integrated Report, 2079 in a meeting of the HoR on Monday.

On the occasion, the committee President Jairu informed the House that the committee held a total 53 meetings since it was formed. She said the committee prepared an action plan keeping in high priority the topics related to the education, health, international relations and development among the various state policies mentioned in the constitution, and also implemented it.

Jairu expressed the confidence that the committee will move ahead by coordinating with the stakeholders concerned for making the committee’s works effective and result-oriented in the coming days.

In the meeting, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota read out the contents of a letter related to the certification of bill received from the Office of the President.

The Speaker also informed the House on the occasion that one seat of the member of the House of Representatives has fallen vacant as per the Article 89 (F) of the Constitution of Nepal following the death, on August 20, of Pradip Giri, a member of parliament elected from Siraha constituency no. 1 from the Nepali Congress.
