Foreign Minister Dr. Khadka meets Indian counterpart Jaishankar in Colombo

KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka has met Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on the sidelines of the 18th BIMSTEC Ministerial Meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Both the Ministers are in Sri Lanka to attend the 18th BIMSTEC Ministerial Meeting.

During the brief sideline meet, matters, including preparations for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s scheduled April visit to India, were discussed, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Likewise, Indian Minister Jaishankar took to Twitter to disclose matters discussed during the meeting.

Expressing happiness over the meeting with Dr. Khadka, Jaishankar wrote that cooperation in connectivity, energy, fertilizers, health and power were discussed.

The two leaders also agreed on tracking the progress of and moving forward the Ramayan circuit.

Bilateral engagements are continuing on the margins of the 18th BIMSTEC Ministerial Meeting in Colombo.

Foreign Minister Dr. Khadka also held meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand Don Pramudwinai and Foreign Minister of Bangladesh A. K. Abdul Momen, among others.
