Gautam announces formation of ‘NCP Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan’ party



KATHMANDU: Leader Bamdev Gautam has announced the formation of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan – a new political party.

The announcement was made at a press conference held at Reporters Club on Tuesday afternoon.

Gautam is the coordinator of NCP Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan that a 75-member central committee.

Likewise, the party has a fixed 15-member standing committee, said central member Nimkant Pandey.

Also, the party will have multiple executives for a single post.

The new party has one chairman, seven vice-chairmen, who will be in charge for seven provinces and one general secretary. Similarly, the party will have one deputy general secretary and one secretary.

Gautam, who was working to unite CPN (Maoist Center) and the CPN (UML) after the split of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), had been gathering supporters.

He has finally formed a new party after foreseeing little possibility of unification between the UML and Maoist Center.
