CHITWAN: A four-storey house was gutted in a huge fire that broke out at Kamalnagar Chowk in Narayangad Bazaar.

The fire that broke out in Tulsiram Sapkota’s house on Wednesday night has been extinguished only at 7 am today.

The fire was put out with the help of fire brigades, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army personnel and locals, according to Narahari Adhikari, Information Officer at the District Police Office.

Police was reported about the incident of fire only at 2:00 this morning. One fire brigade of Bharatpur Municipal Corporation, two fire brigades of Khairhani Municipality and one fire brigade of Nepal Army were used to extinguish the fire.

According to the police, the fire damaged Bishnu Prasad Lamichhane’s Express Mobile Shop, Bishnu Acharya’s Durga Electronic Shop, Basant Karki’s Shree Krishna Suppliers, Shankar Sapkota’s Shoe Shop, Basudev Acharya’s Fancy Shop and Suryamani Lamichhane’s Diyalo Fancy Shop.
