Two arrested with 431kgs of red sandalwood in Kathmandu



Two individuals were arrested by the police on Tuesday night in Pepsicola, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, with 431 kilograms of red sandalwood.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Gyan Bahadur Timilsina, 40, from Balefi Rural Municipality-8 in Sindhupalchowk, and Ramesh Thapa, 41, from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, the authorities found the red sandalwood hidden in 13 sacks inside a hut at the location.

Both suspects were immediately arrested, and police are now conducting further investigations into the case.
