Nepal sees 173 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 173 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 65 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 108 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,839 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 643 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,196 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 3,612 active cases in the country as 396 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,999 to date.
