NC’s Shahi clinches victory in Mugu



MUGU: The Nepali Congress candidate, Ain Bahadur Shahi, has been elected to the member of the House of Representatives from Mugu district by 3,994 votes.

He received 14,702 votes.

District Election Officer, Bishnu Prasad Neupane, said Shahi’s closest rival Raj Bahadur Karki of the CPN (UML) obtained 10,708 votes. Shahi is president of NC, Mugu.

Similarly, Jit Bahadur Malla of the CPN (UML) won the election to the member of Province Assembly (1). He received 6.618 votes.

Malla’s closest rival Gopal Bahadur Bam of the CPN (Unified Socialist) got 5,545 votes.
