KATHMANDU: Deposit collection by commercial banks has declined alarmingly last week. The deposits in commercial banks declined by Rs 10 billion in a single week.
According to Nepal Banker’s Association, the deposits of commercial banks came down to Rs 4367 billion from Rs 4377 billion during the period from April 15 to April 22.
Similarly, the credit flow of banks has also declined during this period. The credit flow of these banks has decreased by one billion rupees during this period.
Commercial banks had disbursed loans of Rs.4195 billion till April 15 which came down to Rs. 4194 billion by April 22.
