38 injured in bus mishap in Prithvi Highway



MUGLING: At least 38 people have been injured when a passenger bus overturned on the Prithvi Highway.

The passenger bus Ba 5 Kha 7942 heading to Kathmandu from Kankadvitta overturned on the road at Panidhara in Ichchakamana-3 of Chitwan on Saturday afternoon.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Chitwan, DSP Narahari Adhikari informed that out of injured 38 passengers the condition of three is critical.

Twenty-five people with minor injuries are being treated at the Fisling-based polyclinic. Six people are undergoing treatment at a Medical College in Chitwan.

Five were taken to B&B Hospital for treatment and two were in critical condition, officials said.

The Prithvi Highway, which was blocked after the bus overturned on the road, is now running smoothly.
