Sandeep turns the second fastest player in the world to take 50 wickets



KATHMANDU: Nepali cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane has become the second fastest player in the world to take 50 wickets in ODIs.

In the ongoing match against Papua New Guinea played at the Tribhuvan University Stadium in Kathmandu, he took the wicket of Charles Amini in the 12th over and completed 50 wickets.

He has taken 50 wickets in 22 games.

Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis holds the record for taking the fastest 50 wickets. Mendis took 50 wickets in 19 games.
