Parsa woman sustains injury in acid attack from family members



BIRGUNJ: A 28 year old woman has been sustained injury from the acid attack from the family members in Birgunj, Parsa on Friday evening.

According to Bara Police spokesperson Rajesh Thapa, Sita Patel, 28, of Birgunj Metropolitan City-13 was attacked with acid in Bara while she was on her way to her parental home situated at Kalaiya-23, Korea Tol.

Two persons on a motorcycle threw acid on Patel.

Injured Patel is currently undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, Birgunj.

According to Thapa, 32-year-old Rambabu Sah and 50-year-old Hawari Sah of Birgunj Metropolitan City-13 have been arrested for their involvement in the acid attack.

Arrested Hawari  and Ram Babu are the victim’s father in law and brother in law respectively.

Police are investigating the cause of the acid attack.
