China congratulates Prachanda for being appointed as Prime Minister



KATHMANDU: The People’s Republic of China has been the first country to congratulate CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the latter’s appointment as a Prime Minister of Nepal.

In the Sunday evening’s Twitter message, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu congratulated Prachanda on becoming the 44th Prime Minister of Nepal.

The Chairman of the third largest party in the parliament, Prachanda became the Prime Minister on Sunday with the support of 6 parties including the second largest party CPN-UML.

He will be sworn in at 4 pm on Monday.
