PM Balen Shah’s secretariat limited to 25-member team



KATHMANDU: The details of advisers and staff working at the secretariat of Prime Minister Balen Shah have been made public.

The prime minister’s secretariat currently consists of 25 members, including Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar.

Among them, only four serve in the advisory team. The advisers include Chief Advisor Byanjankar, Political Advisor Asim Shah, Policy, Administration and Good Governance Advisor Sudip Dhakal, and Advisor from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology Bibek Mishra.

The prime minister has also formed a 10-member personal secretariat. Subash Sharma serves as the chief personal secretary, while Nabin Bhandari is the personal secretary.

Other members of the personal secretariat include Sanjiv Pandey (personal joint secretary for development projects), Prakriti Dhakal and Bishal Adhikari (personal under-secretaries), Surendra Bajagain, Binay Shakya (section officer and photographer), Amrit Pandey (section officer and press facilitator), Anup Thapa Magar (computer assistant and videographer), and Rishi Thapa (administrative assistant).

Likewise, the private secretariat includes 11 officials. Pradeep Pariyar serves as joint secretary, Tularaj Sunuwar as under-secretary, and Chudamani Basyal, Ganesh Prasad Khanal, Niraj Maharjan and Lilaraj Kafle as section officers.

Other staff members include Nutan Gautam (non-gazetted first class officer), Bhupadhwaj Rai (computer operator), Rajkrishna Maharjan, Balram Khadka (driver), and Dinesh Shrestha.
