Lumbini All Star beats Biratnagar Super Kings by three runs



KATHMANDU: Lumbini All Star defeated Biratnagar Super Kings by three runs in a match played under the first edition of the Nepal T20 League at Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground today. With this win, the team has got four points.

Chasing the 158-run target posted by Lumbini All Star, Biratnagar Super Kings was restricted to 154 runs in allotted 20 overs losing six wickets.

For Biratnagar Super Kings, Hussain Talat hit highest 29 runs, Sikandar Raja 17, Arjun Saud 10 and Prithu Banskota 18. For Lumbini All Star, Kishor Mahato took two wickets, and Sagar Dhakal, Gulson Jha, Dipendra Singh Airee and Pyact Brone one wicket each.

Invited into bat after losing the toss, Lumbini All Star made 157 runs in 20 overs at the loss of six wickets. For the team, Lahiru Milantha remained unbeaten on highest 80 runs off 63 balls with five boundaries and four sixes.

Similarly, Kushal Bhurtel hit 26 runs, Captain Airee 16, Bipul Sharma 11 and Anil Shah six.

For Biratnagar Super Kings, Nandan Yadav, Talat, Shahab Alam, Andre Macarthy and Raja claimed one wicket each. Winner will receive Rs 5.5 million in cash, first runner-up Rs 3 million, second runner-up Rs 1 million and third runner-up Rs 500,000.

The match was participated by various six teams.
