KATHMANDU: After Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ did not give up their claim to become the Prime Minister for the first time, the Baluwatar meeting of the ruling coalition has been inconclusive.

According to a leader close to Prachanda, there was a heated conversation between PM Deuba and the Maoist Center Chairman in the meeting.

Prachanda accused the NC President of not fulfilling his earlier promise that he would give the Prime Minister to the Maoist Center in the first phase.

According to the Maoist Center Chairman Deuba had promised to let the coalition partners to lead the government in the first phase, however, he (Deuba) changed his words afterwards.

“First you promised, now you backtracked,” Prachanda told the NC leader in the coalition meeting held in Baluwatar on Sunday.

After the meeting, NC leader Gyanendra Karki said that the meeting of the leaders was stopped because there was an internal discussion within the party.

He informed that the meeting will be held again to seek consensus.
