Prachanda holding talks with UML Chair Oli on govt formation

KATHMANDU: Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has left Baluwatar and reached Balkot.

Prachanda reached Balkot along with Maoist leader Dev Gurung after the meeting of the ruling coalition failed to reach a consensus for the formation of a new government.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prachanda and Madhav Nepal also held separate discussions to form the government within the time limit given by President Bidya Devi Bhandari for government formation.

But Prachanda left the meeting after not being able to agree on who will be the prime minister in the first term.

After the Nepali Congress took the stand that the post of President and Prime Minister cannot be given to other parties, the Maoist Center started the dialogue with the CPN-UML.
