UML’s Pradip Gyawali concedes defeat

"I take responsibility for adverse results"

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader and former Foreign Minister, Pradip Gyawali has conceded defeat saying he will take the responsibility for the result.

Taking to social media on Friday, Gyawali said, “Despite our tireless efforts, our campaign was not successful,” Gyawali wrote, “I apologize for not being able to convert your (people’s) trust into results.”

Gyawali has said that he will take responsibility for the defeat vowing to review in due course.

Gyawali was elected in this constituency in 2074 BS.

Nepali Congress leader Chandra Bhandari, Gyawali’s contender, was elected from Gulmi-1 to the House of Representatives.
