UML wins HoR, PA seats in Arghakhanchi

ARGHAKHANCHI: The CPN (UML) has made a ‘clean sweep’ in Arghakhanchi during the elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly.

Secretary of the UML, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been elected as a member of House of Representatives. He garnered 42,675 votes while his closest rival Pushpa Bhushal of the Nepali Congress got 40,945 votes. This is Rayamajhi’s fourth consecutive win.

Earlier, Rayamajhi had won the election in 2064 BS, 2070 BS, 2074 BS.

Similarly, Chet Narayan Acharya and Ramji Prasad Ghimire won the election from Province Assembly (1) and (2) respectively.

Acharya received 20,518 votes while his closest rival Sagar KC of Rastriya Janamorcha got 19,778 votes.

Likewise, Ghimire won the election from Province Assembly (2) receiving 22,776 votes. His closest rival Kamal Prasad Bhusal of the Nepali Congress secured 21,975 votes.
