Nepal sees 487 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 487 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 242 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 245 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,177 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,806 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,371 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,298 active cases in the country as 164 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One more coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,995 to date.
