Police arrest 17 for forcibly imposing bandh in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: The Nepal bandh announced jointly by four left parties including the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav” has little impact in Kathmandu.

Vehicles can be seen plying the streets as usual on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there is a heavy security presence in the streets.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has informed that vehicles are running normally in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

Meanwhile, police have arrested 17 people trying to impose a bandh in the Valley.
